  1. I managed after a lot of loading and crashing to delete the offending ship and the game seems to be working better now. I also disabled the "Sell Asteroid Extended" mod as I was wary of that being the culprit of the sector loading issues; it basically makes factions you sell an asteroid to eventually turn it into a station. I have no proof that either of these fixed the game, but it's been running smooth again since then. Sadly, I'm not sure sending my galaxy at this point will help much considering the issue is gone, but I'll do so anyway. I was so happy to have it working again I didn't take the time to consider backing up the broken one before moving on with my game.
  2. I've rejoined the server in the Bugged Sector as a drone, the Bugged Ship is nearby. Except it's not the Bugged Ship, seems like it's the Ghost Ship again, as my turrets are unbound again. On the map screen, there's a ship of mine in the sector my friend was in where I disconnected last time (I'll now refer to this as Friend's Sector). My first goal this time will be to warp to my home sector to unequip my system upgrades and then delete my Ghost Ship. Warping into the home sector, I'm doing no damage to nearby asteroids and am sure the game is about to crash. Yeah, I crashed. Connection Lost: No Response From Server. I'll close the game and send my logs. I'm out of Pastebin entries for the 24 hour limit LOL so sorry but I'll attach them here... serverlog_2019-08-26_22-42-16.txt clientlog_2019-08-26_22-39-51.txt
  3. Opened the server again, had responses from shooting asteroids in the Bugged Sector, warped to a nearby sector where my friend's ship was idling, lost response again, was eventually met with the same crash message. https://pastebin.com/Z5Dmzx15 Server https://pastebin.com/KzY63sXP Client I'm going to try opening it again and deleting the ship again, I'll report back with more results as they come in.
  4. The logs I posted are in order of time, oldest at the top to newest at the bottom. The top should be when the problem started happening; I didn't reset my client most of the time so the client log didn't get updated with each server crash.
  5. I disconnected when passing through a sector on my map. After reconnecting, I was in a drone two sectors away, with my ship nearby. Pressing T to enter my ship, I tried to go back into this sector (which I will now refer to as the Bugged Sector), only to see, upon highlighting the Bugged Sector on my map, that I apparently had a ship there (which I will now refer to as the Bugged Ship), listed as "1 ship of Gunvarrel" in the tooltip. There however was no dot on the sector to indicate a ship being there, as this dot was on my ship (which I will now refer to as the Ghost Ship) in the sector I rejoined in (which I will now refer to as the Respawn Sector). Warping to that sector, I did not see the Bugged Ship anywhere, but the server had stopped responding. I couldn't damage any asteroids, and flying through warp gates did nothing. The game disconnected me shortly thereafter. "Connection Lost: No Response From Server" After this I tried sending an AI-piloted mining drone into that sector instead of me going in there. As soon as the drone entered the Bugged Sector, the game stopped responding and soon closed with the same error message. It was then that I decided to stop entering the Bugged Sector and reached out on the Discord server. Rinart73 told me to try renaming or deleting my ship, and that might make the game stop thinking there was two of the same ship. I found out I could not rename the Ghost Ship in the Respawn Sector, as hovering over the rename button it said "You must be in the same sector to rename crafts.", despite staring right at it with my drone. At this point my only option left was to delete it. I warped back to my home sector to find an Equipment Dock to remove my system upgrades before deleting it, however once I tried removing one of the installed upgrades, the game stopped responding again. Crashed with the same error message, again. When I logged back in, I was again in a drone in the Respawn Sector (not the home sector) and the Ghost Ship was nowhere to be found. Instead, I saw a white dot on the Bugged Sector again, and switched to that sector. I was in the Bugged Ship once more, and had all of my turrets bound again. Shooting at asteroids nearby rendered hits and, as of thus far, I believe the problem has been fixed. I'll upload all of my recent logs from what I believe were the failed attempts, as well as the closing logs from the last run of the game where things seem to have fixed themselves. 6. Hosting a Multiplayer save of a galaxy I've been playing with my friend on for a few days now. The game was running when I went out for work, and I came home to thread name's error message. I joined a random online game and chatted with some dudes, things worked just fine there. Trying to host my saved galaxy as a multiplayer game again caused the same connection issue: I log in, I'm in my home sector, I can look and move around, but I can't damage anything and when I try to switch sectors or give commands to units in other sectors, nothing happens. After about a minute of waiting with no responses, I get the thread name's error message again. I've tried restarting Steam (which fixed my former issue, but not this one), restarting my internet adapter, playing the server with authentication on and off, to no avail. 7. My friend was able to connect to me again after we both restarted Steam and turned off our Hamachi tunneling. I don't know which of those fixed the problem, or if it's just coincidence, but there's a possible solution for anyone else struggling with it. Feels like such a waste of time having written this whole post only to get this conclusion, but oh well.
  8. I know, you've probably seen it already, but here I am to report it anyway. I'm running a server through the client (Multiplayer > Host Game > Select a galaxy > Host Existing). Last night, my buddy and I spent 13 hours playing together after I started a server this way. Tonight, neither of us can connect to each other, either through the existing galaxy, the existing galaxy hosted by my friend (I sent him the save), or through entirely new galaxies on both our ends. I have MY client log data: -From last night, when everything worked: https://pastebin.com/eGWfCp1h -From tonight, multiple times, when things did not work: https://pastebin.com/f35QRFXX https://pastebin.com/WUmfp7E5 https://pastebin.com/FTPNYa72 MY server data: -From last night: https://pastebin.com/eVYu7W42 -From tonight: https://pastebin.com/7LsJCuy4 https://pastebin.com/jrASZZ8F - and THEIR client log data: -From last night: https://pastebin.com/2HxQ2h0L -From tonight: https://pastebin.com/HgwNMJRq https://pastebin.com/NiJSKwgc THEIR server data: https://pastebin.com/H2BdBzg4 - We're both using the same mods: Lazerzwei's Advanced Shipyard Detailed Turret Tooltips No Independent Targeting Penalty Better Range for Mining / Salvaging Lasers Turrets x2 Distinct Mining Arrows All Turrets independent More Resources Mod They're the same mods we played with last night, as well. He lives in Singapore, I live in America, though I'm certain there's no region locking issues considering we played fine last night, but I thought I'd list it out anyway. Neither of us are using a VPN or have our firewalls up. There's all the data I can think to send. Please let me know if there's any help to be had.
