Before the advent of permanent upgrades, it was fairly easy to reduce hyperspace cooldown to a more-or-less livable value, like 30 seconds. Now, that seems impossible. The only upgrades offering cooldown appear to require permanent installation, and even those are uncommon and don't offer much in the way of cooldown. I put the game aside a few months ago, hoping this issue would be addressed, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact numbers. But the cooldown on my ship was something like 2.5 minutes, maybe more. I'm a long way from being able to afford (or find) high-end upgrades that might offer decent cooldown reductions. Maybe I can find a mod that will fix this? Would like to play this game some more, but the cooldown issue is a killer.
