BN Corporations can offer you some exciting new mines, factories, and goods! Mines: Coal Mine: Get your coal here and control the steel market! Raw Oil: Get your black gold here! Factories: Synthetic Oil: creates raw oil from that worthless animal byproducts (leather) just sitting in factories not doing anything! Synthetic Diamonds: Coal and high pressure tubes = shinny rocks, even the by product of the station can be sold as gems! your customers cant tell the difference, so neither should you! Mining Robot Dispatch: Have a bunch of these robots sitting around the galaxy not doing anything? Not anymore! Send your robot out and get 60 of every mine-able good in return! BN Corporations is not responsible for the safety or return of your robot. Drug Lab - Acron Drug: 4/5 doctors say this product is harmful, but what about the 5th guy? He says its perfectly fine and his employment at BN Corporations had no bearing on his decision! BN Corporations reminds you to check your local laws when moving this product. Drug Lab - Morn Drug: Same doctor as before says this drug is safer than those Medical Supplies that the other guy is selling. Well they probably died a horrible horrible death they deserved. Needless to say there are some that might of survived and we don't want them getting a new ship and coming back again? Of course not! Mercenary Training: Have a bunch of mindless slaves and they can only clean your captain's chair so many times? Then why not reprogram them into useful members of society as mercenaries! Our state of the art training facility only requires you to present the person, gun, and body armor at sign up. As an added bonus we lobbied a few stations to purchase they trained killers for their own use. (Adds new good to the game.) Please note that if caught transporting them, they will deny it.   3. I have been laying out some plans for adding a few new factories to the game. I was able to add new Mines into the game using the produtionindex file but following the same pattern to add factories causes errors in the game, is there another file I need to update as well?

  5. So on my own server I have been playing a lot with the economics of the game, so far it has been fun and rewarding. There are still several "dead ends" in the factory chains that end up with final products that go no where. The ones that jump out are books, jewelry, and leather. There are also several starting goods that can not be produced in the game as well, mostly raw oil and coal being at the top of the list. I did add coal mines to my game from claimed asteriods but I have been thinking about leather and its use. One idea was to make it a requirement to make books, a leather cover for the book but ecomically that would make producting books more expensive that what it can be sold for. So i thought about what is leather in the game, it is animal by product for the meat factory. After a small amout of searching the web I saw several companies using animal byproduct from slaughterhouses to product synthetic oil. So a new factory idea would be a synthetic oil factory. This factory would take some multiplyer of 2 leather and 1 energy cell to create one raw oil. thats roughly 80 credit profit per unit. I feel that this would be balanced and solve 2 current issues in the game. Let me know what you think and other ideas for other dead end goods.
  6. so i have done that and the mine shows up in the list but when clicked on it pops up the warning that it is not irreversible and hitting ok does nothing, have you had these issues?
  7. most of the achievements do not work for me, any of them that have to do with counting seems to be broken, aka pirate/xsotan/distance mining/exploration
  8. So I have been playing a lot with the economy end of things, made my first billion in the game and there are a couple ideas I had. First off I really like how all the goods that are produced are used in other factories and the multiple factories needed to complete a final good. Saying that I think some sort of simulation of the factories are needed when you are not in system, even if it's a timed event like paying your crew, "your factory made you X from NPC trade". Also I would love to see some of important factories added to the game as they are essential to production, mostly raw oil and coal. So a simple coal mine and oil pump would be great and increase players into building plastic and even steel factories that they would of stayed away from prior. Also I must confess I do use the out of system production mod that I think is also needed as a staple in the game.
  9. Is there a plan to update good consumers along with factories. Ex. Military Outposts, Habitats, Casinos? I love the production so far but without a way to consume the goods I feel there will be a lot of unsalable final products.
  10. Does adding more Solar Panels or Generators have any effect on Solar Power Plant production, if so does someone know the ratio?
