Having the exact same issue on my dedicated server as well. It's been a while since my friends and I had played Avorion on this server (about 1-2 years), but I don't remember the lag getting this bad back then. Everytime someone gets into a bigger fight with like 5-15 ships, the server just dies. One random thread on the CPU will spike to 100% and just be locked for 5-10 seconds, causing the entire Server to lag out (no crash, just lag). We are currently getting into mid game territory and it's already becoming unbearable. I don't remember it being this bad in the past. We are running the server on a Xeon E3-1271 v3 with 32GB of RAM. Never had any issues with other servers, we even were able to run 4 Ark servers at once with no lag at all. At this point I'm running out of ideas how to fix it, not that I really found anything on the topic. I really love the game and I would like to continue to play it with my friends. Hopefully someone will be able to come up with a solution.
