So many uses for this, it’s a great suggestion. You could mask all that outer hull/armor to easily access the internal space of your ship. No more having to delete chunks of hull just to throw some extra blocks in there.

It would be great to see some love in this area, we’ve had some sorting options added to the game recently so I’m hopeful some of the foundations for this is already there.
