I was afraid it might have been something like that. My graphic card doesn't support shader model 3.0 and the latest drivers for it are 6-7 years old (at least I couldn't find anything newer online nor could the Device Manager). Fortunately though, I was planning on getting a new computer in the upcoming weeks; so I'll just have to wait until then to try out the game and lend a hand in the bug hunt. Curiously is there not a minimum requirements list or did I just overlook it?

When I start the game I get as far as the initial loading screen before it shuts down. This is what the client log shows:
