  1. This first dabbling in Avorion modding. These scripts adds an 'add goods' command. Heavily based on Aki's work /agoods Description: Adds goods to currently boarded ship. Usage: /agoods <good name> <quantity> Must capitalize all names Must replace spaces with _(underscore) Can not add more then your hold can handle Example: /agood Steel 100 /agood Steel_Tube 10 Files: data/scripts/commands/agoods.lua data/scripts/player/cmd/agoods.lua
  2. A possible use for computer cores is cyberware. Hacking ships to do things like drop their shields, kill engines, and block hyper drives. The bigger computer you have the more often you can use cyberattacks and the wider variety of attacks are available.
  3. I have not looked into it but the Out of sector production might save data. At least I hope it does.
  4. I think I would be a lot of fun to run into a gigantic asteroid, something larger then any space station. There are a lot of neat things you can do with it. Veins of ore instead of the entire asteroid Multiple mines on the surface Pirate bases nestled into them Tunnels to explore and find hidden stashes of smuggler goodies inside
  5. I agree it should be possible but I haven't found the necessary hooks in the documentation. They are incomplete so our only recourse is to look through the game scripts. A much slower approach. Creators are aware that it is lacking: See this thread. So if we are lucky we will see it in a near future update.
  6. I have been looking into this but as far as I can tell there is no way to know what's in a specific sector. Therefore we can just do a linear search through the systems. My other thought is add to a list of all stations as players enter a region. However that would only work if you had the mod from the beginning. I am also unclear how to save that data to persist between sessions.
  7. This could be cool, the longest part of ship building is making it look cool and this could definitely speed up that process. However does this only create convex shapes? If so, it would be useful in creating shields but you could not make cool shapes with peripheral. Unless you can choose to do it on a sub section of the ship
  8. While most of the game is very intuitive and block based building factories and player owned stations are not. AFAIK you can only get one size of each station and can't change it's production throughput. I suggest making "blocks" (eg. an entire sheet of solar panels for a solar farm) that you can place. Each block produces its own item. This style of station construction allows for a single station producing a variety of goods. Factory blocks allow for super factories that are a full vertical ;D something that I'm excited for.
  9. People love putting antenna on their ships just for cosmetic effect. Why not make it into a block type that replaces sensors. This adds to the idea that you can tell what a ship does just by looking at it. A few thoughts: - There can be one long range for galaxy scanners and one short range for sector scanning. - It's strength can based on the longest dimension of the block. (Long thin sensor blocks are suggested) - There needs to be exponentially more scanners to reach farther. (4x the scanners and power only nets you 2x range/strength)
