From what I have read, you have to be a certain distance from each gate and each gate requires a specific artifact. Others have suggested simply building 8 different tiny ships and equip each on with a single artifact. You will know that gate is paired with the correct artifact if the gate lights/powers up. Once all 8 are in place a wormhole opens and you can travel to the center. I have not even gone to center yet so I have not confirmed this though.

Love this series BTW! Been playing for quite a while now and can't believe the difference a few mods (like 0.3km docking, DPS, and Mining stations) make. Been trying out ships submitted in your video comments as well. By the way, where is the current ship you are using located (AI Ship), I can't seem to find it? Thanks!
