  2. A few ideas that have cropped up from a few hours (or more..) of gameplay. Blocks Antenna/comms block Increases sector scanner range based on it's longest length The longest length this would make longer, thinner antennas more cost effective, but less durable. Something like 1.25 cost, 0.5 durability? I suggest this because the system upgrade, while nice, I rarely use in favor of other upgrades. This would also look cool and be practical. Radar Increases sector scanner range based on it's largest surface area Sames as above but surface area really, this leads to large radar dish type designs instead, but I'd like this to be less effective then the System upgrade, I feel that should be preferred. Weapons/Utility Control Module Increases available turrets, needs extra Gunners/Miners to manage. Should not be as effective at the System Upgrades, such as higher energy drains and no 'All' turret options. Higher tier (Xanion?) Alternatively staffed by engineers, or only an 'All' turret option, just even less efficiency. Mechanics Shortcut Key for Sector Map Fairly simple, scrolling out to the strategic sector map is nice but there's times I really wish I could just hit a key to toggle between them, such as when I just want to check what stations there are and where. Complex Mining Asteroids made more complex. In an effort to make the mining less grindy and interesting asteroid generation could be changed so that they contain 'veins' of various quality materials (Higher quality = worth more when harvested). This way players would dig through asteroids to get to the resources and could seek out high quality veins. This could also be made more interesting by changing how materials are found. Miner upgrades could instead function that you can identify which asteroid have materials and you would then 'scan' them to identify what and how much material they have. Higher tier miner upgrades could automatically scan nearby asteroids. Alternatively use a radar time way to identify mine-able asteroids using the strategic map. Turrets limited by Tech Level As it sounds. This way you could go for lots of little guns or a few whopping great big ones. If tech level isn't a great gauge of power then some other gauge could be implemented. Will add more as I think of them.
