  1. I would like this script to work in single player is there a way to do that?
  2. most likely this is due to a mod change or update from steam... unfortunately unless you restore the exact mods you were using you will run into the same problem. Also check to see if you are actually new... I have experienced a similar problem many times. Open your player inventory menu. Do you have some of the things you had on your old save? even so. At this time there is no way to safely edit player.dat or restore your progress unless you have a perfect backup of the files you had previous to your issue. I make frequent backups of my current "galaxy name" (Appdata/roaming/Avorion) and "(install/directory)" Data folder to make sure I dont loose progress. items in quotes are user specific More than once I have spent literally hours believing all hope was lost with a save only to restore (you will have to delete the current file not merge the folders) the correct files and BAM! Im back in the game. As always... back up frequently before and after all changes and definitely before a patch is released as some mods edit vanilla files and will be overwritten with an update.   3. this kind of thing happens to me constantly. Im pretty sure its just lag. Exiting build mode and re-entering it usually clears it. If not then entering another ship, entering build mode in that ship, exiting build mode, exiting ship and entering previous ship will fix it.
  4. I like this and agree. I would also like my ships that have non combat fighters (drones) to not launch them and rush headlong into battle. It seems rediculous that the miners and repairers etc would not try to avoid battle unless told to stand ground or attack. Or that I cannot make a ship with repairers patrol and handle damage control.

  6. This is a thing im very pleased to see this happening and I will try to keep up on it as well... I encourage mod makers to add their work as it is updated etc here as well.

  9. Yeah this is a problem... Some mods make edits to the base scripts like Antismuggle.lua and transfergoodscrew.lua so its vital to keep your mods loaded and up to date in a separate "Data" backup folder that has nothing but the mod files in it. Then after the update you need to merge the files. And yes I have massive problems with my captained ships just acting like general hooligans. I am particularly fond of my salvage ships just repeatedly smashing into stations or my mining ships just ramming into asteroids with pure unbridled passion. want to have some fun make a salvager miner thats shaped like a long bat. place the turrets along the top in like a clump. Sit back and watch the fun... (the ship tries to nudge everything like a teeter-toter).

  12. im not certain that its the mods... but after rebuilding and deconstructing my fleet (not in that order), selling a ton of modules and turrets and researching them as well. Things are at least playable. As far as the mods im not really running anything that would take up cycles to my knowledge. Unfortunately the only way to get rid of mods and still use my save is to bork the mod so its invalid. so thats a bit of an issue. I haven't been able to load a save after removing a mod yet. I was able to modify server.lua to not check one of the mods though. yeah but removing them just seems to make problems. As is stands im using Transport Permit Detailed Turret Tooltips Pirate Warlord, Dockbuilding, Better Shipyards Avorion Commands package Clean sector I had to edit the server.lua to make this not work bc its useless on single player afaik Turret Fatory Seed Entry Findstation Salvage Command this is superfluous i know so its invalidated. Better Transfer Auto-research Just double checked... The Salvage mod is totally removed so i stand corrected. Everything seems to be working fine other than the fact that whenever I fire my guns my screen freezes for a few seconds. I havent made any more ships than just a miner to accompany me at this time so... Im assuming it had something either to do with poor AI optimization or that there was some borked entity id for the fleet ships that was causing the game to use up massive amounts of resources... I actually have some video of making a jump where one of my smaller ships actually spawned inside my main ship.... YEAH like COMPLETELY inside it.
  13. Im just going to chime in here and say that the lower right hand side loot spam etc has to be the one thing about this game that annoys me the most. I really dont want to see it... ever. (unless it was movable, scaleable and the delay was adjustable) I have also had loot descriptions "stick" to the screen indefinitely. Like if you hover over the loot as it is collected. It will display what it is. (This is actually a cool feature. I wouldnt mind it if it was smaller or didnt interfere with other parts of the ui when switching to inventory or build mods etc). On occasion the tooltip will just stay on the screen though. like until I jump or open up a bunch of menus and sort of JAR it into submission.
  14. Instead of bumping your thread why not make a list of mods and talk about what kind of cool stuff is on your server :) Not to say that bumping isnt cool I do it... I like things that go bump in the night. 8) 8) 8) 8)

  16. I have pretty much tracked the majority of the issues with having multiple fleet ships. Im fairly certain that one of my fleet or several of my fleet is severely glitched and causing the problem with my performance. Jumping out of the sector with out my ships has basically solved the problem so I am going to strip them and remake all of them.
  17. I could play on a public but as it stands I want to finish my current game with my progress. (not to much to ask imho). In fact I am hoping darkconsole will have a public server up on her monster machine soon (correct me if it is already) I also have several friends that play so yeah... lots of fun to be had. One of the issues I may be experiencing is the amount of mods I am using currently is about 7 I think... these are at least 50% pretty much indispensable mods as well... not just QOL. Also no matter how many times I have set the server.ini to use 4 worker threads it defaults to 3. No new video i am too much of an idiot to post them at this time... need to work on my skillz.... I will try setting the worker threads to 4 again and the generators to 1 but as it stands right now it takes about 6-10 minutes to load my save up. and about 3-7 minutes per sector during travel. I am excited to start over again once I get the performance issues resolved but as it stands I cant see it being any different once I get to the same level in a new game. I mean I have literally 1000s of mods and turrets. I have 100s of explored sectors. I have no intention of playing the game differently on a new run through. not even close
