  1. Yep, I used to build detailed ships with 1000's and 1000's of blocks but when deleting anything you could literally go away and make a coffee whilst the (CPU I guess) is going crazy calculating what you've just asked it to do. I say CPU as I run a custom built PC with a 1080Ti GPU. There's no way Avorion would stress that thing! Surely??
  2. The other pics haven't worked since they were posted. Unless the ship looks like a 'no entry' sign of course, if so the likeness is uncanny! 8)
  3. Fox, I'm so glad you built Big Blue! I started it last night, actually completed the hull in about 20 minutes! Then hit a million issues, to name a few: Hiding Solar panels, yet retaining size and colouring Scale in relation to Big Red. Big Red looks, to me anyway, that it should be a single person vessel, or at least very low crew count. Big Blue however looks like it should have 10's if not 100's of crew. Modules. To get to 6 modules the ship scale would need to be HUGE as the block count of Big Blue compared to Big Red is far, far lower. Good job anyway!
  4. Indeed, although a word of caution. If like me you have layered the solar panels to increase power output, selecting the entire vessel and clicking merge merges those solar panels too! I didn't notice for nearly an hour..... It wasn't until I glanced at the overall power output that the penny dropped :'( Annoyingly the merge tool doesn't like corner pieces. Thank the lord for the mirror tool as all corners need manually combining! In other news, Big Red has been out for some space trials. The engineers are strongly advising power upgrades for the equipment slots, and *ahem* TITANIUM! She's Cruiser size with 6 equipment slots. The drone has a home too! Big Red XML - Enjoy
  5. Use the block conversion tool to remove the camo pattern. Click on the blank hull square block in your block options, then select the conversion tool on the left hand side 'tool menu', then click on any flat pieces of your ship you wish to convert to blank hull. You can then repeat the process on angled surfaces with the relevant angled block piece selected from your build block options. Welcome to 400hrs+ of making pixels line up with pixels! ;)
  6. My kind of building style. Needs fettling as currently no thrusters, gyro's, crew quarters, cargo, generators....oh wait, Iron! Solar panels then. Needs lots of block combining as the lag is real currently. I'll fiddle with it tomorrow after work. Might finish this ship too ;)

Massive internal generators, battery cells and shield generators allow for sustained engagements. 11 internal equipment slots allow for diverse customisation and no less than 20 hard points allows good fire power ensuring the Heavy Cruiser is the dominant force in any given system. With a cargo capacity of over 7000, and a pair of fighter bays capable of holding 35-281 fighters, there’s really nothing the Heavy Cruiser can’t do! Price: Cr – 12’903’121 Ti – 1’996 (Where the f*** did I put that titanium block!?) Tr – 1’205’064 Xa – 15’300 Heavy Cruiser [glow=orange,2,300]Battleship[/glow] TBC We accept Mastercard, VISA, AMEX.
