  1. Freelancer is all 5 of mine. EVE was a viable substitute for a little while.

  4. I think thrusters and engines will start to show max velocity decrease when you add too many for your current engineers. Once you have the correct number of engineers it will shownyour true max velocity
  5. I dont use any hull at all. Its all specialty blocks (shields, generators, hyperjump cores, thrusters) covered in armor. I'll very rarely use a hull block
  6. If you do not have enough money you do indeed pass straight through. I just realized this the other night when i got all my money taken away in a stolen cargo fine. I was very frustrated, flying through the gate over and over before i remembered i was dead broke
  7. The key is knowing how to effectivly stack and place your thrusters. Its based on surface area so bug thruster blocks dont help as much with manuevering opposed to stacks of thinner "sheets" of thrusters. Its talked about a lot here: https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php/topic,1040.0.html Once i figured this out and redisigned a bit my ship was WAY easier to dock.
  8. It's slow cause it doesn't have the crew to support the requirements. I'll try to fill it up and get stats for when that's not an issue. Awesomen i'd love to see what its capable of

  10. Oh i'd never heard it called that. Thought i was missing out on something haha Plz explain You can resize blocks right? Made them thinner, longer, bigger, and what not. That's dynamic shaping.

  12. So has anyone seen this in your time playing Avorion? I have a save file that me and my buddy started when we got the game. We had been playing fine since we first began but directly after the last update the game started to get terrible lag. All NPC ships just stayed in place and kinda... bounced around. They just sat there vibrating in place as if they were trying to do the manaquin challenge in the back of a moving semi. So i assumed my network was having issues and we were just getting some really bad lag. Then i started it up again the next day. There everyone was, frozen in the same fight they were the night before, shaking around. So we decided to start a new galaxy to see if that one would be free from this seizure enducing vibration. Sure enoughn they were. So has anyone ever experienced anything like this in one of their games or servers? I assume the file was somehow corrupted during the update. On the bright side I had a fresh start to try out new design styles.

  16. Once equipped there should be a new icon at the top rightn nead where you find the "found ship" button. This opens the trade upgrade menu
  17. Yes please record a build. Im interested in your method. Especially the curved parts. Is that just some intense corner/slope work?
  18. I prefer to use "guard position" command i think it's called. They usually stop right where they are ( or try to)
  19. (Messing around with engines right now in game) Why is it that adding more engines increases thrust, while decreasing max velocity? Is it due to the weight? I filled up on engineers so i know that isnt the issue Edit: wait yeah more engineers was still totally the issue
