  1. The higher the tech level of a turret the more gunners/miners it requires. A tech level 50 turret can require 7 gunners for example.
  2. The "abandoned mines" that this mod generates are separate from asteroids that you claim and can sell or build mining station on.
  3. This is a good idea. I have often thought of this very change -- like every time I am re-fitting turrets! :)
  4. Good to know that the Galaxy Map is not easily accessed for mods. Is there a way you can indicate that a mine is owned by the player who paid for it? That way in a multi-player game you could tell who owns what mine. Thanks for a great mod.
  5. I have seen large arrays of storage containers floating out in space. Is there a way to own a storage container for yourself to stash items in for later retrieval?
  6. Thanks for this mod -- it works great and was very easy to install. I was so excited to try it out that I did not want to wait for 10% chance of an abandoned mine, so I bumped it to 25%. Its a beautiful mod indeed! The only have two comments: 1. It does not look like it limits the abandoned mines generated in a sector to one or even one of each type of ore as you can see by the attached image. 2. The Galaxy Map info on the section appears not to update until you leave the sector -- to change the Abandoned Mine text into Working Mine text on the sectors popup data sheet. Both of these comments are not complaints at all, just observations. But seriously, a GREAT GREAT mod!! Thanks for making it available. I appreciate your work.
  7. I've noticed with I play on a system with Intel on-board graphics that every time my shields materialize, the shield outline and entire ship turn black with a bit of translucent luster. How does one find out what version of OpenGL libraries an Intel on-board graphics system is using?
  8. There is nothing wrong with your ship building skills -- that's a great looking fleet of ships!! Good job.
  9. Thanks for providing the server hosting docs. I am following your instructions, but my winrar is telling me that the server installer zip on mediafire uploaded 2017-01-25 13:21:19 is corrupted. Is the zip file size really only 682 Bytes?? And it contains two files -- "avrion_installer.txt" and "Naggerknife's Server Installer.bat"
  10. I have not done any multi-player game play yet -- that is next on the list to do; but I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to build a ship and give it to a friend in game -- without transferring the ship's XML file. I am not playing the game at the moment but I know you can email resources, can you email a ship?
  11. Thanks so much for sharing. I tried out the Abstract Wrangler -- what a beautiful ship. Keep up the good work. I can learn a lot from your examples. I like the idea of a small fighter bay -- good to have escorts when headed into danger's way.
  12. I have done that. I notices the appdata did not get deleted, but I have read other forum post were appdata files get corrupted, so I archived them and started with a clean install. Its quite a hard hang. CTRL-ALT-DEL does not work either. I had to start the Task Manager prior to doing the test.
  13. The Client hangs immediately when pressing the Start button in the New Galaxy Dialog. It never displays the "galaxy loading" screen. I have been able to run other games from inside Steam. I did a check of that after this hang because I was wondering if it might be Steam related. What else are you aware of that I can to do verify the integrity of the Steam platform? Thanks
  14. Thanks for such a quick reply. I have the server process excluded from my virus scanning software and I do not see it appear in the Task Manager as I watch that when I click the New Galaxy Start button. The client file does not have the server start line in it like I have seen in other client logs when things are working correctly and the appdata galaxies directory is empty. Running Windows 10 and ALT-TAB does not work at this point either so I cannot get control of my desktop. Though my other two monitors are working -- that is how I interact with the Task Manager.
  15. Have enjoyed 40+ hours playing the Early Access. But after the patch update client hangs when loading an old, or creating a new, galaxy. I archived my appdata from previous play, deleted it all, uninstalled via Steam, reinstalled via Steam, and tried to create a new galaxy. Client hangs. The galaxy directory in appdata is created but there is no server log file there. Client log fill is attached. The avorion.exe shows not responding in Task Manager at 0% CPU. Cannot end task using task manager. Have to restart system. I tried this several times and the client log files all look the same. Thanks for creating such an entertaining game. Keep up the good work. clientlog_Sat_Jan_28_13-07-30_2017.txt
