I had 4k omicron in xanion, also you have to look at the damage and rate of fire vs. tech level. It's kind of random on drops. As for long hyper jump times what I usually do is alternate between a warp gate and self hyper jump so i can always keep moving and exploring without a lot of downtime. I have a very large ship now with 7 system slots, so it does slow down a bit, but i'm still enjoying the bigger space battles (playing on hard mode).

Just a quick follow up I found a work around. If you had 3 natural system slots and 2 additional from Trinian etc. If you decide to remove all the system upgrades, you can remove the 4 upgrades that you can see in the UI and then quit the game and came back and then the 5th upgrade will show up. This works fine so not a big deal.

When you use the trinian or higher blocks that give you additional "system upgrade" slots. The additional upgrade slots added naturally show up but the "artificial" slots are hidden. You can still add the total number of system upgrades but you can not remove the system upgrades if you want to remove the ones that hidden.

Rylo - while in game, just hit ENTER and use the /give command if you are doing a single player game or you are the admin of a multi player game. /give <yourname> 10000 credits /give <yourname> 10000 titanium This is a way for you to mess around without being in creative mode.
