  1. SO I bought this game and love it and already have logged 117 hours. Great job guys good concept and lots of room for growth. But I am going to tell you right now the board not being commented on and the moderator not commenting in what 14 days.. DOES NOT WORK. This is the absolute #1 way that Alpha into Beta games seem to behave over and over and the communication with the community gets lost along the way. DO NOT let that happen to this game. I get that the plate is full and much is to be done. But set aside 30 minutes a day and answer 10 questions with serious thoughtful replies and reap the rewards from a community that appreciate your interactions. Moderator gone on vacation or whatever happened there get somebody to fill in or at least say HEY. Gonna be gone on vacation with wife kids hamster dog and turnips. Be informative but don't tell your life story. I am writing this from experience you can look at my game list and see this is not the first starter game Im in or the last. IT does seem though that at some point somebody always has to start a thread like this.
  2. So I have 73 hours in game. I am a miner at heart and run a fleet of 4 miners 1 salvage 1 combat ship. What I have noticed so far. (1) Miners will go to a rock. Mine a bit. move..mine a bit..move mine a bit move. Fluffy rock stuff comes off it misses some go get fluffy stuff move around and mine. (1) Salvage ship will shoot something move..shoot move..shoot move.. chase fluffy drop module whatever then move again. (1) Combat ships will fire a salve..Spin in 3 circles.. Move and fire salvo etc. The combat one I cant suggest much for as its just firing but sure seems like it does a lot of thinking. Salvage ship and miner can be fixed by adding ONE thing to the game..And that is called...wait for it. T H E TRACTOR BEAM. You got it no more jerking around to get in range to pick stuff up. Mount multiple with various ranges like everything else and the ship can mine and salvage and not have to worry about moving. The amount of computations done to move a ship around left and right taking into account velocity drift etc etc is a lot more math then lock and drag in. Set timers on them so they are not instant. Make them have various pull times etc. I am pretty sure this would be easy to put in all the programming is already there. Also cool tractor beams are very space like.

  4. Here is my last client log file Ive tried 11 times get the same deal every time. Also i verified files. Deleted Game..Reinstalled game. Last night i turned all the sound off that got me in. Today that trick does not work. HELP Log into steam Launch game Game comes up with window about corrupt saved files hit I understand. Click on multiplayer. Click on browse servers List populates and then STUT STUT Stutter game crashes to desktop every time. Last night i turned all sound settings off it let me in game. Today that did not work. HOURS. Trying everything i could think of I found this post. http://avorion.net/forum/index.php?topic=658.0 After going into %appdata%\Avorion I found NO .ini files. so all i did was erase EVERYTHING below the two folders just highlight and delete it. Wallah it worked. Again all i found were XML files no INI so just delete everything below the two folders up top and I just restarted game.. No steam reboot.. No file check.. No computer restart. Yes beta YOUR Welcome for my long day at work unpaid on yet another beta :PPPP
