If you are the host, join by LAN, then have your friend join by you on steam. It's working for my server.

Same issue here. No one can connect besides me via lan connection.

Every time someone logs in they get assigned a new player #. I tried with steam authentication on and off. I checked the logs and renamed the correct player data with the new file# assigned but then the game just assigns them a new player ID on log in. Windows 2012 Server running the latest patch.

Copying the old file and renaming it to the new ID# does not work either.

Looks like we are all getting new ID's when we log in. I also tried turning steam verification on and off same results. My old ID was #38 and now I am #42

Just updated it and when we logged in we started fresh. I looked in my saved game folder and all the data is there.

My friend wrecked his ship and he could not repair because of a lack of Titanium. I tried to repair it for him and it gave an invaild shiptype error. He had given me permissions. Is there a way we are missing that I can give him ore or other items?

I was on my dedicated server and it disconnected me. Still showed 5 people on it. I could not reconnect to it after that and others said they could not either. I looked in the logs and it shows a bunch of these error messages about the time I got disconnected. After restarting it people are able to connect fine.

I see, thanks for the heads up. I will lower my limit if we start having problems.

It's a survival server sorry for the confusion. Also thats a good point, we have 4 people playing right now and if it fills up we might have to kick people out. Just beware of that, no hard feelings if you get kicked out to make room.
