  1. Integrity fields currently make blocks invincible. This means that every block inside an integrity field has the same HP as the entire ship. I think I don't have to tell you why this is bad and why it makes certain blocks completely useless.

Instead, in the new patch, integrity fields will make blocks more durable, but not invincible. The ship's HP will remain the same, but the blocks will take longer to be destroyed.

I think that's a step in the right direction for sure. Whether or not it's the ideal mechanic, I don't think I have the ability to determine, but I honestly think we can all agree this is better.

    Or maybe not. Who knows.

  2. Why not just make integrity fields have a greater energy demand. That way you would have to think about where you would place them.

Or, once a certain I-field takes an amount of damage, it fails and has to recharge for a duration, then it goes back up. I personally like this idea better.

  3. Haven't seen a guide or instructional anywhere on how to zero your turrets. Occasionally, mine will randomly go cross-eyed after construction modifications and make it impossible to hit anything beyond 1km.

And I really don't want to have them in a fixed position. Any thoughts people?

  4. So I got bored at work, and have decided to build this when I get home.

Someone please come to my bar and buy a drink...or I will draw more doomface vessels.

    I'll post the resilts later

  5. Personally I have tried this, and it still seems to work but not as effectively. However, say you have a ship with a design that is somewhat hallow, with an opening and the thruster on the inside, it will work.

Same basic physics concepts apply though as far as I've seen. The further from the center of mass the thruster is, the more effective the force of thrust.

    May be wrong though

  6. Cool. I figured there was more development to be done, but it sure can be tedious micromanaging in the rts view.

Also, has anyone else noticed ships controlled remotely tend to move much slower when given the "mine" command versus telling them to move to an asteroid?
