  1. Isn't that what I just asked for? An option in the menu to load with weapons disabled. The whole point of weapon groups is to be able to turn weapons on and off. If I have 8 torpedo tubes, I might not want to fire ALL of them at the same time. I might also want to turn off my Point Defense cannons when they start shooting at something on the other side of a friendly. Or turn off everything but my mining beams when mining. While I'm on the topic, I've also run out of weapon group hotkeys. Can we get more? With the ability to have up to 10 torpedo tubes, well, that's all the hotkeys used up all ready.
  2. I'm thinking of a hotkey, like the current "enable all weapons", but to disable them, and an option to load a save with all weapon groups disabled. Currently, when I load a save, I have to press 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, if I forget, I fire a whole spread of torpedoes off in some random direction when I try to move the camera. Plus, I just like having my weapons disabled when I'm not using them so I don't accidentally shoot somebody. Weapon safeties, and all that.
  3. This is a very simple suggestion. The ability to change the order of fighter squadrons by dragging and dropping, much like we can with various systems in the energy menu. The only way to reorder or reorganize squads at the moment is to move fighters around manually, and overwrite blueprints.
  4. Before the Economy update went live, I could set up all the settings for a turret in a turret factory, and press the build turret button, creating duplicates as long as I had materials. Now, ever time the build turret button is pressed, the parts reset to their default values. Also, the Turret factory used to remember the settings when I closed the window and then re-opened it without having left the sector, or closed the game. It no longer does that either.
  5. I have noticed this bug as well. I have 1882 crew, and I should need 188 sergeants, but the game is demanding I have 267 sergeants. I'm also have an issue with the morale loss from lack of officers. Between the time it takes to find them, hire them, and then have them train up, my morale takes quite a hit. There seems to be another part to this bug. I had a bunch of extra untrained crewmen leftover from when I was scrambling to fill my mechanics before the economy patch, and I no longer need so many, so I thought I would dismiss some to lower my officers needs. Despite dismissing over 100 crewmen, my sergeants requirement did not change at all. On further inspection, I'm not sure if this is a new problem, or an old one. My first real ship hasn't needed more officers in a long time, but I noticed it also has too many.
  6. There already is such a function; it is default bound to f2. It will change the turning controls to WASD and you have a variable throttle (changed the keybinds, I don't remember the defaults) I use it when flying my giant ship, as simply turning can smash the bow into another ship or even a station, and do serious damage. I also use it when I want to do something else while my ship flies towards a distant target.
