DoomAngelBlade
Interesting. Better materials = better durability. That's all. It's still better to make engines and crew quarters from iron because it will be cheaper... and make armor from better materials.
DoomAngelBlade
As you add new stuff in the game(Goods and components(That thing made me SMILE for a long time....)) Will you remake the materials? Like in X universe? Or you it will stay like that?
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted January 20, 2014 Boxelware Team Share Posted January 20, 2014 I don't know yet, I haven't had any ideas involving materials which wouldn't make the game more complex instead of adding more depth (As it would be if materials became trading goods, which is what you meant I guess?) I have toyed with the idea of removing some of the main materials though, shrinking them to maybe 6 or 7. I'm not sure if the current amount isn't a little too much. Or maybe make the top level materials really rare, so it's really special if you find Avorion.
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted January 20, 2014 Boxelware Team Share Posted January 20, 2014 Better materials = better durability By the way, this is only because I haven't added any blocks yet where it would make sense to increase the other stats, too. Engines maybe. Maybe I'll do this in the future. But for housing (or now coming up: Cargo) it just makes no sense - why would blocks made out of iron have more space than blocks made from titanium? ;)
