Hanger bays rethink

Right now fighters a more or less a tossup for usability but that's not what this post is about.

 

It's about wanting to be able to make my own ships and carry them along with me and deploy them as fighters or miners!

 

I think it be really awesome to have Hangers bays not consist of how many fighters  one can carry but how much mass one can carry.

 

This way smaller ships still Have a usability a higher tiers and would add a lot of strategy and fun to the game.

 

What do you guys think?

There's been a lot of talk about fighters and how to handle them differently.  I'm sure some changes are planned, but I don't have anything to point you towards to tell you what they are.

Yes, this would be so awesome. I don't like the fighters/miners/salvagers that are in game, they are too flimsy... I'd like to build my own and give 'em a load of shields and proper turrets. This would rock.

what i suggest would be a "docking block" different from docking port this new block would allow for 2 ships to dock together then be flown as one.

 

this would be ideal for having you main big ship and a lil shuttle or fighter docked to it

 

some like this below see how it has the lil shuttle docked to it
