fighter squadrons swear everlasting Vengence!!!

I have found a (fun?) bug with the game

 

so you see, I had a couple wings of salvage fighters doing their thing while i was trading in a system

and then I crashed into said trade station going at a fraction of the speed of light (as you do)

for obvious reasons, neither me or the station came out of the encounter unscathed...

now while my ship is big, the station was larger in this particular case, so my ship exploded (sadface)

 

now my fighter squadrons are loyal, and trained to never surrender! so they swore everlasting vengeance on the nation that destroyed my ship... and I cant see any way to stop them, seeing as the carrier that originally held those fighters is dead

 

in their quest for vengeance you can see them here killing a shipyard, do note my ever decreasing reputation...

Try recreating a new squadron with the same name on your new ship and see if you can call them back to the hanger then.
