Umbral Reaver
Take the pyramid block and stand it on its square side. Cut it in half down the diagonal. The result is the half pyramid! It'd be super handy. I can't think of a way to create that geometry with existing blocks.
0 DougJunior
You have 1/4 pyramid this should work to... It's in the lines with 3 poly form
0 thedamngod
As doug said, there is the one corner block, which is basically a quarter pyramid. Just place one of them and rotate the second one accordingly.
0 Umbral Reaver
I don't think that works. I mean like this: Half Pyramid What would you use to fill those gaps? Edit: I can't get img tags to show it. :I
0 cy414
this is why i suggested a snap to edge feature. scenarios like this will appear that require odd shape variations, but adding them all by default would be mind boggling.

Edit: I can't get img tags to show it. :I This stupid shape haunts my mind over nights... I had to redo my executor two times because of this! :D Also easy answer is - you can´t fill that in any simple meaningful way - atleast I don´t know about any. 0 DivineEvil
I think its a way too narrow usage case to actually implement. I have two other shapes in mind, that would find much broader use, but even then, there should be an extendable shape selection method from the base block type in place first, otherwise additional shapes will increase the block palette size way too much. Like Space Engineers? Choose a block and then wheel through its possible shapes.
0 acc
that shape is definetly missing and can't be built by combining existing ones, because geometry. as detail-fanatic I would love to have that too <
0 DivineEvil
Like Space Engineers? Choose a block and then wheel through its possible shapes. Or select the base block (hull/armor/glow, etc), and a wheel/flower expands around the block presenting alternative shapes. Selecting the shape replaces the base block with that shape. 0 freelikegnu
I wonder if it we could select blocks to affect then let a marching cubes algorithm do the smoothing.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marching_cubes (this is me just pretending that I have any idea how to do this)
0 Umbral Reaver
I tried making a facsimile of the shape by making ever finer approximations and scaling them down. But using a 100+ block model to approximate a single block doesn't seem that good a plan, and the edge still looked a little ragged.
0 Umbral Reaver
I am going mad. D: Again I started planning a build, only to be trounced by the absence of this block. D:
