As such I'll only be posting ship overviews in spoilers and a Google+ Photos link to the album containing all the screenshots relating to the ship. There will be a Photobucket alternative. Stratios This is a project I did to really get used to the ship builder and see what's possible. Everything was built in creative mode with unlimited resources so I didn't have to worry about that. Note that while the ship is "playable" it's severely lacking in maneuverability. It is also too big to use jump gates - unless that is a bug. Total build time ~50hours. EDIT: Did some cleaning-up on the hull. Replaced all exposed Maggots (a.k.a. Xanion) parts with Trinium and tried to fix a couple of the transitions between angles but it's mostly impossible with the parts we have. Brake path - full cruise to zero: 16.4km (forward), 16.2km (sideways), 15.8km (backwards; no engine thrust) Turn time: ~5.3 seconds for a 180° turn Material cost: 5.45M Credits 89'585 Iron 26'954 Trinium 405'590 Xanion Original design by CCP Google+ Photos Album or Photobucket XML File Retriever - model Sept. 2016 and earlier It's a Mining Barge class ship. Lots of moving parts and it eats roids. To offset the lack of moving parts I used the new inertia dampener blocks for details that light up every time the ship starts to drift and some useless thrusters for added fire effects. Build time ~6 hours. Brake path - full cruise to zero: 5.3km Turn time: ~5.1 seconds for a 180° turn Material cost: 364'339 Credits 2'850 Iron 35'665 Trinium 4 Xanion Original design by CCP Google+ Photos Album or Photobucket XML File Magus It has an interesting design with a boat-like middle section and 2 heavy wings suspended on either side. I chose a different skin from the original Gallente design. Dark greys with red and white accents. I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out. Some of the dimensions are just ... off. It's not nearly as sleek as the original. Build time ~22 hours. Brake path - full cruise to zero: 15.1km Turn time: ~5.1 seconds for a 180° turn Material cost: 4'875'477 Credits 49'900 Iron 124'132 Trinium 287'683 Xanion Original design reference. Google+ Photos Album or Photobucket XML File Sacrilege Good old Maller. Except it has a pair of extra engines sitting on its wings. Lots of very annoying curves and bent shapes in this one. Turned out too flat at the top, too bulky on the townwards-protruding section but at least it looks somewhat clean. Build time ~40 hours. I have half a mind to start worshiping you. You've won a whole bunch of internets, mate. And damn, ~50 hours... I can't spend more than 4-6 hours on a ship otherwise my brain just would give up. I'll try to fix them, somehow. Meanwhile you can follow the links to the albums at the bottom of each section. The problem seems to be with Google+ Photos. Unless you are logged into G+ you can only see the album cover, which incidentially is the first image in that album. I was thinking about doing the ORE line of ships too, since their geometry would be pretty compatible with the voxel system. Skiff => Procurer => Retriever => Covetor => Mackinaw => Hulk Could do the Orca and Rorqual as well. Caldari and Minmatar ships would also be on the list...All of their geometry would be easy to adapt... Caracal / Ferox / Drake / Raven / Rokh (Use armor plates for faction versions / camo :D) Stabber / Cyclone / Hurricane/ Tempest / Typhoon...not sure if maelstrom would be doable, but it might with some creativity... If you reaaaaly had some time on your hands...could do the Wyvern, Chimera, Nidhougger and Naglfar... *rubs hands together* Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Drake... maybe. I haven't seen the latest model yet so I can't tell if I'll be able to make it look decent. Brutix for example is just HELL to remake because it's all round and bubbly. BiasVoltage Posted March 25, 2017 Author Share Posted March 25, 2017 I don't scale them simply because it'll most likely ruin any chance of modifying them. On a 0.5 scale you can half every dimension and still work on a 0.25 scale but then you can't have the 1:2 Grid:Scale ratio anymore which makes building a PITA. Halving a block on a 0.25 scale gives you a 0.125 scale. Good luck ever doing anything with that ship again. On another note: Magus is finished!
