Server UDP: Error receiving from 127.0.0.1, error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host, received bytes: 0

127.0.0.1 is the Loopback-Device on Linux, and it should be about the same on Windows. The Server and Client of Avorion can't communicate at that point anymore.

The problem might be caused by a Desktop-Firewall, especially if it's that crappy Redmond-Firewall :)

Try using Zone-Alarm or any "good" freeware Firewall on a Windows-Desktop, make sure Avorion may communicate/connect to server and so on - sorry, I'm not a Firewall-Manual.

Yeah I know that the udp bunk is from local host. I dorked my way around networks for a long time. I dont have anything obvious set in my firewall or ip blocker to inhibit local host traffic but i am investigating further.

Wish me luck...

one thing I have noticed is a ton of udp requests to reserved ips iana multicast etc. im not so savvy to know if thats normal or not...

netstat looks normal though...

shits really pissing me off.

Well, are you using the Microsoft Windows-Firewall? That one always caused trouble, that's the reason why I suggested the Zone-Alarm Firewall.

Good luck :)
