Hello all! New player here! My 1st game ship were just blocks and stuff so I wanted to find tips on ship building.  So, I was reading around the forums and all the ships are awesome! It got me inspired and after a few days Here is my 1st major try of building one. But I'm still trying to figure out how to do an angled tube - the easy way. I tried my best but a lot of stuff is hard to shape. But anyway, here she is, the completed ship just waiting for surface paint and detail.

 

PS. How do you remove that ugly camo pattern?

Use the block conversion tool to remove the camo pattern.

 

Click on the blank hull square block in your block options, then select the conversion tool on the left hand side 'tool menu', then click on any flat pieces of your ship you wish to convert to blank hull. You can then repeat the process on angled surfaces with the relevant angled block piece selected from your build block options.

unless you wish to keep them as armored blocks, which will require a texture mod. I actually haven't looked for one, but the mods section of the forum would be a good place to start. :-)
