Stuck on starting singleplayer after crash

I was in the middle of playing, then my computer shut down unexpectedly.

After restarting, it now won't load the galaxy. It just sits there at starting singleplayer.

I am thinking some data got corrupted when the computer crashed and the galaxy might not be recoverable.

It's fine if I need to restart a new galaxy, but it would be great to recover this one.

Client Beta 0.11 r7857

OS Windows 10 Pro

CPU Core i7-5960x @3.00 GHz

If you don't mind I'd like to piggy back, as I had virtually the same issue last night (also the 17th? what are the odds?).

I was playing, trying to switch from one ship to another, and neither method (pressing t or using the f-interaction menu) worked, so I decided to save and quit to main menu and load again. Game basically froze and became unresponsive, in fact my whole computer wouldn't work, not even the usual ctrl+alt+delete did anything, so after waiting a long time I was forced to just use the power button to restart the laptop. I'm guessing the improper quit corrupted something.

I don't really have any knowledge with coding, so trying to convert this galaxy into a dedicated server seems pretty daunting. I read somewhere about deleting some .ini files, but right now I'm trying the old uninstall+reinstall trick.

Piggybacking as well, had the exact same problem. Turns out our power company had a scheduled outage that I wasn't aware of, and my computer was shutdown.

I've tried copying some of my files over to a new galaxy (with the same seed) to try and isolate the problem. So far, the "factions" and "players" folders seem to work (i.e. don't cause hang-ups); the new galaxy loads, though I don't see any of my old stuff, whether it's resources, upgrades, or even the list of factions (though I imagine those might reappear once I explore the relevant sectors again).

However, the "sectors" folder, along with the "jumps.dat" and "jumpsmeta.dat" seem to be causing hang-ups.

--------------------

I'm copying the contents of two logs: the first is the last portion of the log prior to the shutdown. The second is the full log from my first attempt at launching the game after the shutdown. Every subsequent log appears to be more or less identical. I bolded the error in the second log.

Well, sort of glad to see I'm not the only one, not that I wish this on anyone.

And thanks for doing the work, I have next to no idea how any of these logs and files and stuff work, which I thought might have been part of the problem as I was trying to install a mod when I discovered my save wasn't working (multiple validations and reinstalls prove that is not the case)

I have yet to start a new game, partly because I"m hoping my old one could still be saved. I guess I wasn't that far in, but I was feeling great just getting shield generators and nanonite :(
