Beta 12.2.2 CTD when adding/removing upgrades

Game CTD's when you open the System upgrade tab and either Add a module, remove a module, or even hover OVER a module you wish to read a description of.  There is no error message, it just flat out closes.  The game is now unplayable.  Files verified, game uninstalled, files deleted for everything, reinstalled, and it still does this. 

 

I'll insert a copy/paste of the final lines of the log here, which is where it says there is an error in the log, but then nothing after it.

i looked at the log before I opened the ship menu, and after, the lines prior to that Error: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION, are both normal, and the same as the other logs prior to this update.  The exact same error will occur when you try to look at your items by pressing "I" and clicking the inventory tab.  The game is unplayable at this point.
