Even if the building process takes a high level material, it would be neat to be able to develop our own warp gates. If we could make the size variable, cruisers might even be able to get through without losing a face plate.
Best way i can think of is to add a warp gate block in xanion, ogonite, or avorion, found it as a station, and have a way to buy matching upgrades for the gates that say "warp upgrade a, b, az," etc.
You might even be able to add your own travel tax on top of the base warp cost.
