Problems with Alliance Disband / Looting

I was just exploring today. All of a sudden I found myself in a shitstorm of 32 pirate ships which instadestroyed my ship. My friend and I were in an alliance that was disbanded as I was trying to get to my wreckage. I guess the ship was an alliance ship so when I got back to the wreckage, I wasn't able to loot the systems back...

 

There needs to be something incorporated that will allow the systems to be acquired after ship has been destroyed and the alliance doesn't exist.
