I'm not sure if there are already someone have this idea (i guess there must be more people like me).
But what i'm thinking is to have a super large module can work as an fixed weapon (only shoot to the exact direction and can't rotate to aim) But we can make it extremely large (given we have enough energy and crew to operate it) and deal huge damage to target (which is likely to be a static target like space station)
So we can built a ship with a spiral mounted huge cannon :)
