Hyperspace Cooldown

Before the advent of permanent upgrades, it was fairly easy to reduce hyperspace cooldown to a more-or-less livable value, like 30 seconds.  Now, that seems impossible.  The only upgrades offering cooldown appear to require permanent installation, and even those are uncommon and don't offer much in the way of cooldown. 

 

I put the game aside a few months ago, hoping this issue would be addressed, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact numbers.  But the cooldown on my ship was something like 2.5 minutes, maybe more.  I'm a long way from being able to afford (or find) high-end upgrades that might offer decent cooldown reductions.

 

Maybe I can find a mod that will fix this?    Would like to play this game some more, but the cooldown issue is a killer.

I have played one game since months ago and yes, I have found the hyperspace cooldown hard to improve.

The solution in my case has been to mantain my ships at low mass to be able to continue playing; I would say that the game is harder in this sense.

Just use 2 system slots to have 0s cooldown. What is the problem?

 

The problem is that Migdalin can’t afford to install enough quality upgrades to reduce this hyperspace cool-down. Thus, he wonders what’s the purpose of a cool-down so unfun?

 

To that, I think the cool-down is set in place so we cannot avoid fair dangers so easily, especially in multiplayer. I like this reason, but the cool-down is only necessary when a potentially hostile ship is in the sector. That’s not the case, unfortunately :/
