I have been playing with my game files for awhile now and while I am not the best modder, I have butchered a fair number of games over the years and found this one to be within my limited experience of successfully butchering files. Inspired by the hard work and star wars sfx mod made by Xavanux I have decided to expand on his work. I wont be attaching any of his files to this mod, as I dont have his permission to officially add his work to my mod, but it is 100% expected that you plan to use his mod and my mod side by side, as they go together well. Disclaimer, streaming Avorion with my soundmod will most likely bring upon the wraith of 1000 copyright claims from Darth Mickey Mouse and the Imperial Disney Lawyers. So use at your own risk. I replaced the combat0 combat1 combat2 combat3 and combat4 with star wars combat audio and repalcd the ai audio with another star wars track. Audio used raging from Duel of the fates to The Asteroid field to Battle over Coruscant. This is just a pre release to see if the community would want more of this type of stuff and if successfull enough I might even expand into other popular space titles, such as Star Trek , Halo etc. But I am a 40 + year Star War fan, so my knowledge is with SW first and foremost. Ok enough chat. Here is what you do. 1.(optional, but strongly recommended) Download this guys mod https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php?topic=4001.0 (it still works as of 1/16/2020) 2. Download my mod(100% compatible.) Before installing either mod, make a backup of your game or you can always use steam to verify cache at a later time. How to install. 1. Download the Music.zip folder. 2. Unzip. 3. Copy and replace the existing Music folder with the new Music folder. 4. Paste the music folder here D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Avorion\data By default yours will be on C drive unless you installed elsewhere. Mine is on D Drive. 5. Hit yes is prompted to over write files. Close the folder and open the game. Make sure in game sound is turned on, and when you get into combat the sound will take effect. And when fighting the AI boss. I will be making changes and adding music over the next few weeks and trying to fine tune it. You may use my files in your own mods. My files best used with the mod listed above and works best when in a Star Wars ship from the work shop. May the Force be with you! Edit: Reason download is 339mb is I copied my entire Music folder from Avorion, which includes all of the non edited files, which will get redone soon. If file size is too big Ill make a reupload of just the edited files, but end result of the mod will be approximately 300 to 400mb in size, depending on how big music files end up after conversion.
