The problem apear at a 4k resolution (3820 x 2160) with all type of video settings. The menu from the game cannot be accessed with the mouse anymore(it do not sync with the mouse pointer). In order to fix the problem you must go to avorion.exe ->properties->compatibility and check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
