  4. Perhaps also make computer cores reduce hyperspace jump calculation time. That would make them more popular too.
  5. Maybe the color unlocker function could still exist but each color is tied to a range on the RGB scale. For example color (blank) stays the same but now also unlocks R: 10-25 B 30-45, G 105-120 ect. I have no idea if this is possible but yeah, just a thought.
  6. I am new to avorion, bought the game last week after seeing a lets play. First I want to say that I think its a great game and am very excited about the direction it is going. I have a few ideas that occurred to me as I was playing that I have posted below. 1. Make it so when projectiles hit an edge or corner block they have a chance to “ricochet” and deal no damage. This would encourage the use of angled armor. 2. Able to have my captain take over flying for me like an autopilot? Say I tell him to mine and I can go afk for a minute. This is kind of possible currently with jumping into my drone, but then when I come back, my ship is far away and I have to fly to it. Also being able to target a station and tell my captain to dock for me would be nice. 3. Gyroscopes blocks for rotational speed, thrusters for X, Y, Z movement. Gyroscopes have to be placed at center of mass to be effective and use power. 4. Tweak IFG's to share x% of damage with neighboring blocks or make them have a limited amount of damage they can mitigate before they “burnout” and must be replaced. This would make armor more important than it is now, but not tons because you can just put several IFG's to get the same effect. Perhaps make it so better materials yield more damage absorption before burning out. 5. Different kinds of shielding. One can be more effective vs lasers/lighting but weaker vs ordinance based weapons ect. Or maybe instead of different shielding you can have a shield modulator chip to add these effects. 6. Ability to make gun platforms to act as point defense for stations once sectors stay live when player assets are in system. They shouldn't be able to move in my mind so you would place them like a station. They also wouldn't require a captain to operate because they aren't doing anything but shooting enemies that come into range. They would require normal crew though, and would be able to equip turret system upgrades or just have a higher base amount of armed turrets like 6 (one for each side of a cube) or something. 7. Make captains able to go to shipyard and repair vessel after x% amount of damage. After sectors are kept live when the player is not in them this could be very useful. Thanks for reading, I understand some of these ideas might not be possible but thought I would post just in case they are totally doable and no one thought of them.
