  2. With the smuggler sectors: That was definitely bad luck. At my last play through I found three in the first 5 sectors I jumped into ::)
  3. While we don't have beacons like that, you could always add a note on the map. With the search bar at the top left you can then search for key words in your notes. It's not exactly what you want, but it should do the trick ;)
  4. The server crashes when allocating new memory. It seems you don't have enough RAM. Please close all other applications running in the background and try to set the video setting for planets and backgrounds to low. If these crashes still happen, you might need to upgrade your RAM.
  5. Uff, that's bad. I'm not entirely sure what is causing the issue. The logs either show a completely unhelpful error, or something in the sector generation as the culprit. Could you send that galaxy to support@avorion.net? I'd like to take a look at it with our debug tools enabled.
  6. The new targeters target the root block of an object. It seems that the gates have the root block at this position. Is it actually harder to select them now? Do you notice it ingame besides the frame visuals being somewhere else?
  7. Ah, sorry didn't see that at first. I'm currently on mobile only. From the log file your driver crashes. Have you tried updating it?

  10. Yes, I would gladly take your log files :) I've got an old testing save that does this behavior as well, but haven't been able to figure out why. Maybe I can see something in your files that helps.

  14. No, that shouldn't matter. Only thing that matters is what is on your ship the moment it gets destroyed. If you were shot up really badly it might happen that you lost some of your upgrades. But getting none back is hard, sorry that that happened to you.
  15. Thank you for your suggestions! To point 3: We're actually planning on improving that, so that the galaxy feels less static. It's damn hard to do that in a way that doesn't stifle performance. We'll try our best!
  16. That depends, did you have a reconstruction token? Or is the ship still showing up in your fleet menu (probably marked as destroyed)? In this case the upgrades won't be dropped. But if you reconstruct your ship, they'll be reconstructed as well :)

    Ship Editor Bugs

    Hei there, thank you for your feedback! I've to admit, most of these aren't necessarily bugs, but just oversights on our part ::) I'll put them on our todo-list .
  18. @Travis9x: Could you zip up your galaxy and send it to us at support@avorion.net? We can't reproduce this error here. Having a galaxy where this happens could help us find the bug, as we can use debug tools to see exactly where it goes wrong.
  19. Right now there's no official way to do that, but someone wrote a mod that gives NPC station and ships predefined player models. The mods name is Avorion Multiverse, you should be able to find it in the mods section here. No promises for it working, though, we introduced a few changes to the modding API a short while ago, they might have broken it.

  21. Hei there, Blocks can't be scripted as of now. We plan on doing that in the future, because it would be really cool to see what you guys come up with. But it requires a lot of work, so we're not sure when we'll get the chance to do it and I can't promise anything.

  23. Ok, so, I don't know what you already tried to fix the issue, so I'll put down everything I can think of. Bear with me ;) Which window mode are you using? Fullscreen vs. borderless or windowed has been shown to improve performance. Are you using VSync? Maybe in combination with a fps limit? Some people reported performance issues with these settings. What output do the frame time graphs give you? You can activate them in the main menu under settings - video.
  24. Could you post the server log as well? The client seems to run ok, and should be able to connect. The error message with "Client UDP" is not ideal, but shouldn't lead to crashes.
