  1. This is a very interesting thought process. I tried it a bit when I first started but without the math to back it up. I think I am going to give it another shot.
  2. I agree with all the statements. Maybe we could put an additional bounty on the Politicians...
  3. Ok, don't get me wrong, I love my alien brothers, sisters and the occasional its... At least to a small extent in that they give me a constant supply of targets. However, I do object (not that it did any good) strenuously when the Xsotan decide to have a Class of "00057" reunion in the center of my local Salvage Yard. I mean really, twenty-three ships and counting is a little bit much. That fact that they are patiently all waiting for some unsuspecting fool (read me) to jump into the system so they can play "whack a mole" with me is... Uh... Frustrating to say the least. So serious question is, how long do these guys take to break up the party and all go back to their respective homes? I am in my drone, cannot get to a gate without getting the crap beat out of me and I used the wonderful mod "/sethome to do just that. Here, at the party... Any suggestions are appreciated... ;)
  4. I ran into a dilemma yesterday and want to know if anyone has any thoughts on this. I was out on an exploration\titanium mining run and naturally get into a fight with some pirates. I managed to kill them all but in doing so get beat up to the point I have no thrusters left. I tried to repair but was unable to do so because I did not have enough iron on board (Slowly converting to Titanium). At this point let me interrupt the tale. I know I could have a) gotten into the drone to mine iron or b) given myself enough iron with the command line to facilitate the repairs. The first would take way to long and the second would be a cheat in my opinion if you are trying to do a solid play through. Since I was testing and getting the hang of the game I gifted myself the iron. Back to the main thought. I had more than enough Titanium on board (due to the mining run) but could not upgrade my ship with the “Titanium Upgrade” because I had to perform the “Iron Repair” first. My thought was that it would make sense to allow a player to perform an “Upgrade” to their ship with a higher grade metal in the Repair screen than have to “Repair” everything with iron and then tear it out and replace it with Titanium. This post makes sense to me but sometimes I do not make sense to others. I could be looking at this from the wrong direction and if I am please correct me. If you have anything thoughts on this, please respond either way.
  5. Miles you are correct and I should have stated titanium instead of platinum.
  6. Thanks for the reply! Could be the credits but I have spotted the color squares. I will start watching them closer and seeing if any of the other counts go up. Has to be something I am missing on it.
  7. When I am Salvaging items, I notice that there are several colors of ingots floating around. However the only ones that show up on the list of ores are Iron and Platinum. I do see the stacks of ore\amounts on the lower right hand side. So my question is, am I seeing things or is the ore not showing up and counting properly?
  8. I had the exact same thing happen to me. Massive station, ships, salvage, etc. Jumped by two waves of pirates which I manage to kill only to have everything gone when I could get back to salvaging.
