Thank you so much for this! So tired of having calc up trying to do the math on all of my turrets trying to figure out which one is actually best to use. Turns out my burst turrets I thought were amazing have such low effective DPS they aren't worth using at all.

Would this work installed only on my client? The server owner is anti-modding.

I play on a vanilla server with some coworkers and recently discovered the Detailed Turret Tooltips mod and have to say it's a HUGE help in picking out turrets. I'm wondering what other QOL mods are out there that I could use that only affect my client so I can still play on the server. The server owner is very anti-modding and it's not clear in most of these mods if they are client only or need to be put on the server.

I went through a whole lot of designs on this forum and couldn't find anything that was really functional. There are a lot of pretty ships but none that were at my level. So I built this thing and while ugly it is really really fun to fly around and kill pirates/aliens in. It has really good maneuverability and decent stopping power. I'm sure with a little work you can make it prettier. I made it very modular so you can copy the outer layer of hull, then delete it, and modify things as you see fit and paste the hull back over. I especially made sure to keep the thrusters accessible for when the beta becomes live and the wafers no longer work. I don't know if using full thruster blocks will work as well but I guess we'll see. I just started finding Trinium so I've begun modifying the outer hull to become Trinium and the ship just becomes more of a dream to fly. Dude the Oculus is a thing of beauty. I wish I had the materials to copy it but I'm only at Titanium/Nanite. Definitely saved it for when I have the materials to make it. Thank you for sharing.

No. Our server is running the current steam version to my knowledge. I did nothing special to get beta branch. How can I tell if the designs are made for beta branch? They don't clearly state what branch they are for.

I've spent the better part of 2 hours in the Creations section testing out different people's designs. Almost every single one has some kind of problem (most of them complaining "Your brake thrust is low" or requiring additional crew quarters b/c it looks cool but isn't built with enough quarters to support its size. I tried building ships and am really bad at it. I finally outgrew my starter ship and have 100k Naonite and 50k Titanium and want a ship that can defeat pirates and salvage their remains so I can advance to the Trinium stage. Can anyone help a newbie out?
