  1. Honestly, I get the hyperspace cooldown, so people don't burn through the game too quickly, but later on it honestly gets to be a drag. The cooldowns get longer and you have to start stacking mods to get the time reasonable, which detracts from other things. You just have to keep swapping mods around, which isn't fun, it's just tedious after a while. I think it would be more reasonable to just cap the cooldown time to a max of 30-45 seconds, and to reduce the calculation time as well for longer jumps. Quite frankly later in the game, I spend half of my time tabbed out waiting. It reminds me of EVE where I'd be tabbed out for half an hour waiting for my ship to get somewhere. The question is what gameplay value does forcing me to tab out constantly and find something else to do, while I play your game?
  2. Just wanted to say thank you, I've been trading the "bad old fashioned" way, sitting afk in sectors while working to let production happen. So happy I don't have to do this anymore... wish it was part of the base game!
  3. Same issue. It gave me fits but someone helped me and told me it was a bug. It works, it's just confusing as heck for a new player.
  4. I posted a new thread in the wrong forum.. I'm a new player, and trading is no fun at all. It's like the universe has been picked dry and I'm getting scraps at best. No fun at all.
  5. What happens, is it looks like NPC traders are picking all of the profitable routes dry. I spent hours warping around, buying comically small amounts of stuff, like 4 combat armors and such at a time. I needed some items for quest, and found a factory with like 84 of two accelerator items, that would sell for about 40k profit each, when I got to the next sector. I warped right back to buy them, thinking I FINALLY SCORED, and surprise, there were 4 units of each left. I do not play this game to stock factories so they will make things to sell, while NPCs fly around making money. That is not my idea of fun. I'm not expecting to waltz in and make LOLOLOL cash, but I expect if I do diligent work, that I can and will make a reasonable profit. Game is not balanced properly with regards to trading. My guess is this is an unintended side effect of making NPCs trade. But NPCs then need to not just cherry pick the stuff I want, but they need to trade all materials equally. I see comically high amounts of worthless stuff in stock, and none of the decent or good stuff. If my single player game was a server, I'd log off because it was picked clean already.
