Station Production Systems

I would suggest a different system for station building:

 

Players can build "empty stations" like they build a ship, if they want their station to be a factory they have to collect different types of trading goods

and bring these goods to a "module factory" to produce a factory module. like u produce a turret at a weapons factory.

 

Now they place their "factory module" like u place a turret and if they have cargo hold, crew on board the station and the needed

goods in the station the station produce a specific amount of goods depending on the placed "factory module".

 

U could combine this building system with the ability to add system upgrades. So u have too reach a specific amount of volume to install a

"factory control system" - upgrade to be able to place more "factory modules". like u handle the amount of turrets on a ship.

 

Players could decide what kind of station they want to have. a complete production line in one station or single stations with a higher output

or a better armed production station or.... i guess u know what i'm talking of.
