Game window forever minimized

hello! sorry if this question has already been asked because my skills in forum searching is quite bad.

 

my problem is: i installed the game (3 times already so it's not an installation problem) but when i start it, i see a command window and i can hear the music, on my bar, under where avorion should be, there's 2 windows visible, when i hover my mouse, i can clearly see the game window pop along witht he black command promp. but when i click it, it maximizes for less than a sec and returns to the tray.

 

i run win 7 64 and i have recently updated *all* my drivers

Close the game, then go into your %appdata% folder, then into the avorion folder. You should see a file called settings.xml. Open it. Inside it look for the entry windowMode="X" (where X is a number) and change it to windowMode="1". Save and restart the game. In the video settings, make sure you don't select the 'Windowed Fullscreen' mode, as this was probably what caused your troubles.

unfortunately, i did as you say and my game still wont come up (the windowMode was at 2 so i changed it to 1). Now there's another problem i can see, in the appdata folder, i found that there was old files left behind so i decided to do a full wipe of the game and the appdata folder, i reinstalled the game after and the appdata now only contains the client log once i start the geme once.

 

the game still won't come up but i see it when I alt+tab, when i stop on it, nothing happens.

 

I then launched the AvorionTrace so here's my client log anyway, maybe this'll help.

Create a settings.xml file where the old one should be. Paste this into it: http://pastebin.com/2k3PR1JZ

Make sure you change the resolution in the file to a resolution your display supports.

Make sure the game is not started while you do this, make sure the file is at the right place and make sure you actually save it.

I have the same problem since i updated windows 10 pro x64 to preview build 15025 :(

 

Hardware: Lenovo Laptop y50 with combination of onboard intel hd4600 and nvidia gtx960m

I think it has something to do with opengl and the mobile nvidia card.

Now Avorion shows a white window, i can hear the music but cant see anything.

Same with No man's Sky.

 

Any idea how i can fix this?
