I think I would be a lot of fun to run into a gigantic asteroid, something larger then any space station. There are a lot of neat things you can do with it.
Veins of ore instead of the entire asteroid
Multiple mines on the surface
Pirate bases nestled into them
Tunnels to explore and find hidden stashes of smuggler goodies inside
