I think planet landing are possible.

Look, I get it. You see games like Spore, or Civilisation, or Star Citizen, and get into that vibe of "I wanna explore everything in Space, including planets! And dominate them! And exploit them! Or just visit them, whatever the hell I want!" But those games have a completely different focus, and tell a different story. I don't think planets would add anything special to Avorion's vision right now, and that's what's important.

 

Try to describe Avorion in three sentences. Do you feel the urgent need to include "planet" anywhere in that description? Probably not. That should give you enough clue already.
