Foreword

Hey you!

Welcome to my "In-Depth Tutorial for new players, the full guide completely"

So before I throw lots of stuff at you I want to say that my tutorial series will be constructed in order to help new players and veteran, play, grow and expand their Avorion knowledge and skills.

I will make initially a mini guide for brand new players to get over the way the game looks and handles.

As a quick start guide.

Afterwards, all of the very detailed in-depth stuff will be going on.

For veterans, I would like to highly encourage you to say something if I say things that are incorrect or outdated in my tutorials. unlike my Evochron series, this game is still in active development and I may need to update things from time to time.

As it stands I don't have any videos released on the topic yet.

But once I do I will strip away these sentences and add said content.

I intend to go over the whole game. And nothing but the whole game. So even for those who are already great at the game, feel free to watch the videos and let me know if everything is accurate to date.

As a side note, none of the videos should be excessively long if they feel too long please alert me to this fact.

So without further ado.

Legend

For future purposes I will be writing down currently planned videos in the series.

I am going to be color coding them for you so you can easily see their progress.

Red: Work has not yet started

Grey: Script in progress

Yellow: Script complete, recording in progress

Orange: Recording complete, Editing Video

Green: Video Produced, waiting for release window or released

Titles will always be in red.

-Update-

Just released the next video.

"Chapter 1: Welcome to Avorion"

  • - Setting up your configurations
  • - Installing an unfinished language pack
  • - Installing a mod
  • - Starting a new game
  • - The User Interface

Hope you guys enjoy it!

For most, I guess they will already know about most of the content. But then again.

It's a full tutorial so anyone playing the game for more than 10 minutes will encounter stuff they already knew.

But still guys!

ENJOY! :3

Nice! I like how you bundled pretty much all there is to know about how to mod the game together with the introduction to the game itself. Usually modifications are thought of as an afterthought, but with you, they take the spotlight together with the main part of the game itself!

Yeah, usually when I get a game I have a browse to see how modding works for a game.

And to see if there are any mods to fix "pain points" a game might have.

It is always interesting to me especially because I love making mods myself as well although they aren't super fancy. They get minor annoyances out of the way.

And I just love bundling some good topics together as long as they don't get in each other's way.

That's why sometime's I mention things but say I will explain it in another tutorial.

Because it would make the video too long or too skewed towards one particular topic.

Image how annoying it is to visit a video for say "How to salvage" only to have to go through a 20-minute rant about the different turret types to find out that there are salvage lasers and you can't salvage with a mining laser.

That would be so annoying.

I rather keep it clean and comprehensive. That way no one is ever confused about what they will learn in a tutorial.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the series so far.
