About power generation?

Hello there,

 

I'm just new to the game, still learning the ropes, so far so good, i've succesfully designed an efficient miner ship with somewhat decent combat capacity (for starter pirates).

 

I've got a question, is there some better blocks than the "solar panel" kind to generate power? Because those are getting like over 60% of my hull due to their crappy energy effiency. Does it improve with better minerals or is there some dedicated better generator at some point (whatever energy generator be it chemical or nuclear i dont care! ^^ )

It's going to get a lot better. Titanium has the first generator block and you should be able to find some titanium very close to the starting sector.

Once you start mining titanium you'll be able to make a titanium generator which is much more efficient than solar panels. This should probably be the first thing you make from titanium.

 

In the crafting menu, scroll down past the iron and you'll see the titanium stuff. You may already be able to make one!

Yes thanks a lot, i tought i checked the titanium blocks, i might have misread what was available... I found the titanium generator and battery, now I have to redesign the ship to be more compact! ^^
