  1. Well, seems my memory fooled me there. Sorry about that :)
  2. No problem, it's always good to help other people :) Also, please don't call yourself an idiot ;). Nobody knows everything and nobody has the ability to do everything. It's normal :D I can't tell you more about this, but the devs will certainly try to improve the compatibility with Intel GPUs.
  3. I have merged the thread with a similar one from the Gameplay Discussions, as its not a bug.
  4. I can't do anything about the game, I am just trying to keep things flowing here, sorry :) Even if CCC is unstable you should try to open it and follow these steps: 1) Click “Power” and select “Switchable Graphics.” 2) Choose Avorion(.exe) from the list or browse to the installation directory of the game and select it there. Then assign the AMD GPU to the game. You will find Avorion.exe in the installation folder: <steam folder>/SteamApps/common/Avorion/bin Here is how to find your logs from the stickied post:
  5. Are you completely sure you are using the dedicated AMD graphics card? If you are using a notebook there might be a setting in the AMD drivers which allows you to set the dedicated graphics card as the default for Avorion. But you might have to google it, as I don't know much about AMD cards. I have only found this which could help you. If you have a desktop, make sure you have connected your monitor to the output of the graphics card and not to the output of your mainboard. This might sound weird, but it's still probable and worth checking. If this won't help you should upload the logs from the game here, as it is described in the sticky post in this forum.
  6. Yodarkore, it should be fixed in one of the next patches as stated above. I have therefore merged your thread.

    Video Freeze

Have your set your system to explicitly use the Nvidia card for Avorion? Usually the dedicated graphics card is not used by default. If you get the warning message on startup of the game, then you are using the Intel Onboard graphics. Steps to do set the Nvidia graphics card as the default: [*]Open Nvidia Control Panel [*]Select Manage 3D-Settings from the list on the left [*]Select Program Settings [*]Pick Avorion from the list of programs or select the executable from your steam install directory: <Steam install>/SteamApps/common/Avorion/bin/Aviorion.exe [*]Select it to always use the dedicated graphics card from the dropdown menu
  8. You should get a notification on the right side of the screen, where collected resources and turrets will be shown. The notification should read something like "Your relations to XYZ improved by x", if I am not mistaken.
  9. Hale, I have merged your post into this one, as the suggestions about enemy spawning are coming up a lot and your slow ships suggestion fits here best :)
  10. You have to use the in-game mail system. You can open it from the icon with the envelope. Just fill out the user you want to send it to and enter the amount of resources. You can also add turrets to the mail. Just open your inventory at the same time and drag the turrets to the fields on the right side of the message.
  11. Can you please post the link to the pastebin paste you have created?
  12. I basically share the view of CitizenCake. I think that you are supposed to be a single person, which is starting small and making its way to the top. As a person you wont be able to just swap to the other ships and only move to them over docking (close distance). Long range commands, aka strategy mode/RTS view, would be also my suggested solution. Just think the other commanders are asking for orders, but rather on which target to attack and not on the exact spot they should hit. Also, I am not sure if I should move this to the suggestions thread by now, but I think I will leave it here for now.
  13. There might be a limitation in the engine, which won't allow moving parts on the ship other than the turrets right now, but I can not say this for certain. My guess is that this suggestion will be off at least for the near future.
  14. Enter the drone ('T') and found a new ship. Add the basics you want to have and transfer crew/cargo over to the small foundation you've built. Then, from the new ship, select the old one and enter build mode from the interaction menu ('F'). Then you can disable safe mode and if you delete everything you should stay in the new ship. Then you can continue to build the new ship. You could also just remove everything except for the root block. Your cargo will start to float around you but it doesn't matter, you will pick it up as soon as you have new cargo space and it can't be stolen. Then built up your new ship from the root block. But you should be quick as your crew needs crew quarters and power or they will leave. If you are doing this you can also easily change the root block: Just add the block which you want to be your new root block, disable safe mode and delete the old root block. now, if you enable safe mode again the only block that should be left is the new root block.
  15. Could you please post the last logs here? There is a sticky post in this subforum in which you will find the locations. Maybe you should also upload the galaxy folder as a zip. You will find it in the galaxies folder, which is in the same folder as the clientlogs.
  16. I have moved the topic to the user guides forum as I think it's more appropriate here and won't get drowned by other submissions as easily.
  17. This topic has been moved to User Guides. [iurl]http://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php?topic=1047.0[/iurl]
  18. It's going to get a lot better. Titanium has the first generator block and you should be able to find some titanium very close to the starting sector. I have also moved your post to the more appropriate subforum. Welcome :)
  19. AI ships should currently only work if the sector is loaded. Thus, if you leave the sector and jump to another one, your miner will only be loaded for about 5 minutes. After that nothing is happening in that sector. You will currently have to stay in that sector or if you are playing on a server with multiple people, someone has to be in the sector.
  20. I think Dinsawer means the bottom third of the spacebar/'+' menu, where you also select the turrets you want to add to your ship. There should be a lot of empty boxes there.
  21. I have moved this topic to the mods section, as I think its more appropriate here.
  22. Get closer to the center of the galaxy. Higher tier ores are found there. Check out the materials section on the wiki :)
  23. I think you should add it with with a small disclaimer that it's based on observations from the game and might not be correct. If there are new information in the future you, or someone else, can still modify it :)
  24. Wow, its looking really nice! Good job :D If you want to hide the UI press F8. There is also a nice stickied post with more tips :)
  25. Correct, just let go of any acceleration button before entering a gate or jumping if you are using mouse steering. That should keep the game from falsely registering the button as still being pressed after the loading screen.
