ObsceneNameHere Posted January 30, 2017 Share Posted January 30, 2017 When running a dedicated on a VPS, randomly (happened twice in 4hrs) the server just freezes with connection to server lost, The server reports the same number of players that were on at the time of the hang and clicking stop will not kill the server properly making taskkill the only choice. When restarting the server you will be in a drone a few sectors back (previously visited ones) but your ship will be where you were when the server halted. Is there any solution, has anyone else experienced this? TL;DR Server halts and needs to be restarted Upon login, you are in a drone a few sectors back Ship is where server halted and/or lost. Balabalalde Posted January 30, 2017 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I just had this exact thing happen, without the benefit of being able to locate my ship after. =( **Edit: The ship fails to appear on the fleet tab either. Blake2234 Posted February 1, 2017 Share Posted February 1, 2017 I was having this issue when I first set up our dedi server. Seem every time it went to autosave it would freeze. Turned out it was the galaxy we was using. I had started it as a single player galaxy then when I decided it was a great game I moved it over to the server and hosted it. Fix was to just start a new galaxy. Have not had any issues yet. Been up and running for 3 days now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
