i'm having some issues, not sure what i'm doing wrong. I have ports 27000 TCP and UDP, 27003 TCP and UDP, 27020 TCP and UDP, and 27021 TCP and UDP all port forwarded to the PC running the dedicated server. I am able to log into the server over LAN no problem, but it will not connect over the internet. Is it a problem that I'm trying to connect to my own server from over the internet vs over LAN? I'm only testing the internet connection to make sure my friends can connect to the server. I have not yet had one of them try. When I'm in the multiplayer IP screen, it will show the status as "Online" in yellow over the internet, but shows it as green over the LAN address. I have tried shutting off the firewall in the router, as well as on the PC running the server, doesn't change. I have also added the avorionserver file as an exception in the windows firewall. Any ideas? Here is a copy of the log file when it starts up, not sure if there's anything in there that's giving me the issue.

I'd like to chime in to say that you should use --use-steam-networking 1 in all cases, since he other protocol is kind of buggy, leading to stalls. And steam networking is safer. If you have problems with authentication, there's a new parameter --authentication which you can set to 0 if you don't want users' VAC status checked.

Your document about updating is not complete,

this is the line that shows:

"Please note you will need to edit your server.bat file to have the new arguments in there. They are i"

Getting an error on client after latest update that the server is unreachable, players who haven't updated their client yet are still able to connect somehow.

Thought this might be due the server not updating correctly but after updating it manually through SteamCMD gave no errors.

Might be due to the missing new arguments but not sure, hope you can help!

Thanks for providing the server hosting docs.

I am following your instructions, but my winrar is telling me that the server installer zip on mediafire uploaded  2017-01-25 13:21:19 is corrupted. Is the zip file size really only 682 Bytes?? And it contains two files -- "avrion_installer.txt" and "Naggerknife's Server Installer.bat"

Yah its small! Its just a custom ".bat file" setup to automate the install process. Its been downloaded over 1000 times so I'm assuming its working for most. If issue persists let me know.
