Can't connect to server?

Good evening,

 

I just bought the game; looked awesome. After I finished downloading it I went to launch single player and I get an error that states the game can't connect to server ______IP_______:27000. I've tried disabling my firewall, and have made sure Avorionserver.exe is not running.

seems like an steam-problem....

restart my computer and force steam to search for updates.

then i can play my old universes.

but my ship is dead and all items on it (in a empty system without pirates)

 

maybe steam makes the problems to connect or with the achiefments

You could try hosting a dedicated server via the bat file in the root directory, and add the flag:

 

--use-steam-networking 0

 

Just a guess. It's an option explained on the wiki that seems to have fixed my bug about connection failing because it can't check the vac ban status (here).
